interference did not play a role in unintended acceleration involving Toyota Motor Corp. vehicles.
It was a major victory for Toyota, which has sought to recover from a recall crisis and accidents allegedly linked to unintended acceleration in some of its top-selling models.

Prius Plug In Hybrid
A lot of buzz in the Dealership lately revolves around the now in field testing Prius Plug-In Hybrid. Like the conventional Toyota Prius the new plug-in version uses a 1.8 litre Synergy Drive Hybrid system but instead of the nickle-hydride battery, a new lithium-ion batter is used along with a "plug in" feature to top up the battery's charge when parked. It's not clear when exactly the new lithium-ion batteries will make there way into the mainstream Prius, Camry and Highlander Hybrid line. But once lithium-ion technology can safely replace nickle-hydride batteries currently used, the hybrid vehicle will have a whole lot more (pardon the pun) charge in it!

U.S. study finds driver error in most Toyota accidents - Brakes were not applied!
More good publicity for Toyota today as the National Highway Traffic Administration in the US released preliminary findings that showing no evidence to support claims of unintentional acceleration based on flaws in electronic controls. Additional studies on vehicle ECM's or the vehicle's "Black Box" revealed to to NHTSA that "Brakes weren't applied by drivers of Toyota vehicles in at least 35 of 58 crashes blamed on unintended acceleration."
Unfortunately as with all of the positive press Toyota has received this year it is difficult to find as the popular media typically does not find a great deal of hype in proclaiming there is nothing wrong with Toyota vehicles.
